14 Best Beaches in the World – Summers are here, and who would not like to plan a trip to a nice beachy destination for your next vacation. The gentle nip of sand whipped up by the soft breeze, the calming murmur of waves, and the briny scent of salt in the air can uplift one’s mood instantly. We have listed down here some of the best beaches in the world that you must plan if you are looking for a beautiful, unique beach experience.
Grab a towel and your suntan lotion and head to one of these beaches for your holiday:
Manuel Antonio Beach (Manuel Antonio National Park, Costa Rica)
It is one of the most beautiful beaches with pieces of shiny black sand and calm waters, ideal for relaxing floating. It is located in the Manuel Antonio National Park, the smallest in the country and a protected area since 1972. Keep in mind that it has opening hours: from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day of the year, except Tuesdays; the admission price is 18 dollars. A fabulous scene awaits that combines tropical jungle with sloths, iguanas, squirrel monkeys and millions of colorful crabs and coral reefs.
Falésia (Olhos de Agua, Portugal)
Falésia Beach is located in the heart of the Portuguese Algarve, west of the fishing village of Olhos de Agua, which today is also a popular tourist destination. It has six idyllic kilometers of extension with the Atlantic Ocean on the one side and a line of spectacular cliffs that are dyed in reddish, coppery or golden tones on the other.
Spiaggia dei Conigli (Lampedusa, Italy)
The island of Lampedusa, dependent on the Sicilian province of Agrigento, is the southernmost populated place in Italy and in recent years, has often been in the news due to the massive arrival of immigrants on its shores. Apart from this, it is also famous for its magnificent beaches, such as the Spiaggia dei Conigli (Rabbit Beach), where loggerhead turtles lay their eggs, with shallow waters and colorful marine life.
Radhanagar (Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India)
Located at approximately 1,000 kilometers from the east coast of India, in the Bay of Bengal, the seabed of this remote archipelago is home to 750 species of fish. On Havelock Island is the exotic beach of Radhanagar. Its tropical vegetation overlooking the ocean brings exoticism to the clarity of its waters. The best time to visit is between October and February.
North Beach (Isla Mujeres, Mexico)
It is the only Mexican sandbank on the list on the Yucatan Peninsula. Its diaphanous waters, coconut trees and white sand are its primary characteristics, typically Caribbean. Getting to this little piece of paradise (it is seven kilometers long) only takes a 20-minute ferry ride from Cancun. In Punta Norte, there is also the El Garrafón natural park, there is a zip line that flies 30 meters above the Caribbean, and one of the essentials is snorkeling in the coral reef.
Playa de Muro (Mallorca, Spain)
Located in the bay of Alcúdia, the fine white sand, moderate waves, and shallow waters (you have to walk quite a few meters until you stop standing) make this beach attractive for families. Behind it lies a dune system and a huge network of paths dotted with forests.
Siesta Beach (Florida, United States)
This beach is located on the island of Siesta Key. Referring to its name, this is a calm place to relax. Its sand is composed mainly of quartz, and in recent years it has twice been named the best beach in the country.
Praia dos Golfinhos (Pipa, Brazil)
High red cliffs and dunes, covered with an exuberant flora, are reflected in the wet sand of Praia dos Golfinhos, in Pipa, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande Do Norte, in the northeast of the country.
Tronco Bay (US Virgin Islands)
Tronco Bay is the most beautiful beach on Saint John Island in the United States Virgin Islands National Park, geographically belonging to the Windward Islands of the Lesser Antilles. A Caribbean corner ideal for snorkeling or contemplating beautiful sunsets.
Baia do Sancho (Fernando de Noronha, Brazil)
This beach is isolated, with fine sand and emerald waters. The Brazilian beach of Baía do Sancho occupies seventh place among the best beaches in the world, according to TripAdvisor users. This sandbank is located in Fernando de Noronha, an archipelago in the State of Pernambuco located on the Northeast coast of Brazil.
Eagle Beach (Aruba)
Another Caribbean sandbank completes the top five on this list. Eagle Beach is the widest on the island of Aruba. Known for its soft white sand and characteristic fofoti trees, it has a car park, some booths and various companies for water sports. It is calm and has crystal clear waters, without rocks or algae. The beach stretches as far as the eye can see.
Varadero (Cuba)
The province of Matanzas, in the northwest of the Caribbean Island, is the beach area par excellence in Cuba, and Varadero beach, one of its longest beaches and also the second-best in the world, according to the ratings of Internet user’s social and reservation centers.
Grace Bay Beach (Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands)
This beach on the island of Providenciales (one of many in the Turks and Caicos Islands archipelago, a British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean), tops the Trip Advisor’s list of the best beaches in the world this year. It is an idyllic place with golden sand, crystal blue waters, and calm waves.
Cable Beach (Broome, Australia)
Bathed by the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, it is a beach of pristine white sand and is 22 kilometers long, so even in the busiest months (May to October), you can find spaces to enjoy it in peace. It is bordered by red-ochre dunes and cliffs. You can also find resorts and caravan parking areas in the area. A sandbank that has also become known for camel rides along its shore.
Our Final Word
With summer upon us, we are all looking to get away. Going on a beach holiday is a great way to travel and explore the world and is typically family friendly. Kati’s family especially loves the beach and tries to get there everyplace they go. These 14 beaches are all around the world, but don’t worry. When I was younger, I loved to go to the local damn and have a quasi-beach day. So, pack up your cooler, grab some friends and family and head out to a beach this summer. Just remember the tanning lotion.
