We are lucky.  We live about 20 minutes away from some great family beaches in southwest Florida. The sound of waves crashing on the sand, a warm breeze caressing the coconut trees and palm leaves, with the sun shining in a tropical blue sky – is this the ideal beach?

In reality, not everyone has the same tastes and priorities. For example, teenagers would like a beach with lots of people to make new acquaintances, while parents with children would prefer a beach facing shallow waters with not too strong waves. Others love beaches with the availability of sports activities, such as water skiing, windsurfing, kayaking, diving, etc. Instead, some prefer a quiet beach away from all the worries of the world.

However, some beaches surprise everyone with their beauty and leave anyone lucky enough to visit them speechless. Therefore, listed here are some of the best beaches in the world.

Rabbit Beach, Italy

It is one of the most beautiful and admired beaches in the world found in this country. The beach is located in a bay spectacular with crystal clear waters surrounded entirely by a very low cliff that welcomes the typical Mediterranean flora and fauna. Specifically, this bay is one of the few places where the “Caretta Caretta” turtles lay their eggs. Because of this reason, the cliff is part of the Lampedusa Island Oriented Nature Reserve that protects this species of turtles along with the rest of the Mediterranean fauna. It is the perfect destination for Italians, Europeans and citizens, from all over the world, especially from April to November.

Baía dos Golfinhos, Brazil

Located on the Atlantic coast of Brazil at a short distance from Recife, Praia do Curral, popularly known as Baia do Golfinhos, is ideal for those who want to meet dolphins. The hosts of the area welcome visitors with leaps and acrobatics. The beach is also great for walking, swimming, and having surf schools and kayak rentals.

Baia do Sancho, Brazil

Let’s go back to Brazil for the splendid panorama offered by this bay. It is reachable by sea or via a very steep staircase that was created by the erosion of the rocks. Here, one can immerse themselves in an atmosphere of tranquillity to enjoy the landscape. Native flora and fauna frame the coast bordered by a high cliff. Also, enthusiastic visitors to this remote beach can only be reached by descending stairs and stone steps.

10 Best Beaches in the World

Radhanagar Beach is still little visited and is highly appreciated for the tranquility it transmits

Radhanagar Beach, India

Ranked sixth in the world is India’s most beautiful beach, Radhanagar Beach, and Havelock Island. This beach is still little visited and is highly appreciated for the tranquility it transmits. Located on the side facing the Andaman Sea, it is a pristine place to immerse yourself in a crystal-clear sea and be close to nature.

Eagle Beach, Aruba

Let’s go back to the Caribbean Sea, precisely on the island of Aruba, which hosts this magnificent white sand beach and a sea with spectacular turquoise shades. Literally, “Beach of the Eagle” also houses a rocky area where you can admire the small crabs that inhabit these rocks. The “Divi Divi trees”, typical trees of this island, have the peculiarity of always bending towards the southwest due to the strong winds that blow on the island.

Quarta Praia, Brazil

Quarta Praia del Morro is the most beautiful beach in Brazil. The beaches in this area are not identified by name but in numerical order. The third is quieter and has a narrower strip of beach with a few restaurants as a backdrop, but in the “Quarta praia,” absolute tranquillity reigns with natural pools of clear water perfect for diving.

Turquoise Bay, Australia

Turquoise Bay has repeatedly been recognized as one of Western Australia’s best beaches: located 60 km south of Exmouth, it is famous for its clear virgin waters that wash onto the white sand beaches. As experts explain, it is also well known for incredible snorkelling experiences: colourful corals, turtles, squids and numerous species of fish (over 500) of all possible colours. This place is part of the protected area of Ningalu Marine Park.

Varadero, Cuba

Also known as Playa Azul, the beach of Varadero on Cuban territory has a strip of land of 30 Kilometres, of which 22 consist only of a beach of mixed colour, gold and pink. Unanimously, it is considered the most beautiful in the Cuban archipelago. The blue water and white powder sand often entice visitors.

I had visited Varadero about 15 years ago and you could walk out about 100 meters into the sea and only be up to your waist.  It is an incredible beach.

Grace Bay, Turks and Caicos Islands

With more than 7,200 reviews to date with 90% 5-star ratings, Grace Bay beach, located on the northeastern coast of the island of Providenciales in the Caribbean Sea is the best beach in the world. Calm and shallow waters thanks to the nearby coral reef, in addition to the beaches, the trump card is the marine landscape: kilometres and kilometres of coral reefs are located close to the shore and easily accessible by boat.

White beach of Boracay, Philippines

The beautiful Philippine beaches are world-renowned. In particular, those on the island of Boracay, a real paradise. After a forced closure “due to excessive tourism,” this jewel has returned to shine. Its main attraction is the white beach,  a  4 km long strip surrounded by greenery. The azure waters are protected by a coral reef. This small island was discovered in the 80s and has gradually become a centre of great tourist interest. Up to the present day, when the number of tourists was no longer manageable and put the environmental balance at serious risk. Currently, there is also a maximum number of visitors per day here. Now the area is recovering. The beach is divided into several parts, the last of which is more lively and preferred by young people to the party.

Our Final Word

There are many great beaches in the world and many that are not so good.  We have been to both.  For many, going to the beach is the very meaning of summer, or a great break to get out of the winter snow.  Whatever your case, try out one of these beaches to make your days and nights even more special.
